National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is being conducted by the Council of Architecture, being the competent & final authority for the purpose of fixing norms and standards for architectural institutions and having the necessary expertise to hold a Common Aptitude Test in Architecture, at national level to provide a single window system for appearing in aptitude test and to facilitate institutions, students and public at large for admission to First year of 5 year B.Arch Degree Course at all recognized Institutions all over country. The purpose of conducting NATA is to provide a single scheme of examination for holding aptitude test and to facilitate prospective students all over the country to apply for admissions in architecture seats in institutions spread across the country while the actual admissions shall be carried out only by the concerned designated authorities of the respective states/ institutions based on NATA. The NATA also ensures that the eligibility criteria for admission to five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course, as prescribed by CoA and duly approved by the Central Government, are strictly adhered to and followed all over the country in Architectural Institutions. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.
How to Apply
1.Candidates of NATA 2018 have to apply ONLINE ONLY.
2.Please ensure that you are filling genuine application form available online at NATA 2018 website (http://www.nata.in/).
3.Examination Fees (INR) for NATA for all Candidates except the candidates opting for exam city Dubai. Those who are subsequently allotted centre in Dubai shall be liable to pay an additional examination fee of INR 7000 prior to issuance of admit card. Mode of payment of the additional examination fee would be notified in due course.
4.Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple applications of a candidate are liable to be rejected.
Registration Procedure: 4 Simple Steps to be followed –
Step 1: Online filling of Application Form:
Candidates will be required to fill the online application form. After successful submission, an Application number gets generated that will be used for future reference. During form filling, candidate is also required to choose PASSWORD. For subsequent login, system generated Application No. and chosen Password will be used
Step 2: Online Uploading of Scanned Images:
(A) Uploading of scanned Photograph, Signature and Thumb impression are mandatory for all candidates.
(B) Scanned Images should be in JPG format. Candidates are required to upload all above images in one-go. Partial uploading is not allowed.
(C) Size of photograph should be between 4 to 100 kb (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm), Signature and Thumb impression should be between 1 to 30 kb (3.5 cm X 1.5 cm).
Photograph’s size of Community Certificate (for SC/ ST candidates only) should be between 5 to 100 kb (A4 format).
The SC/ ST certificate is subject to verification. If not found authentic the candidature for NATA-2018 will be cancelled and the Admit Card to take the examination will not be issued.
Step 3: Fee Payment:
Payment by Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking using BillDesk EPG services: The candidate has to select any one of the above option for fee payment and follow the online instructions to complete the payment process. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the “Confirmation Page”.
Step 4: Downloading of Confirmation Page:
(A) Download and keep a copy of the confirmation page. NO NEED TO SEND TO COA. IT’S MUST KEEP FOR ALL FUTURE REFERENCE.
(B) Provision for re-printing of Confirmation Page will be provided.
The Application No. printed on the computer generated Confirmation Page must be mentioned in all correspondences. It is therefore essential to note down the Application Number printed on the Confirmation Page as well as the chosen password. Examination fee is non-refundable.
