CEPT University, formerly the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology, is an academic institution located near university area in Ahmedabad, India offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas of natural and developed environment of human society and related disciplines. The Centre for Environment Planning & Technology was established as the School of Architecture in 1962, by The Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), followed by the School of Planning, School of Building Science and Technology and School of Interior Design in 1972, 1982 and 1991 respectively, which were established with aid from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of Gujarat and the Ford Foundation.Until 2002 the institute was autonomous and awarded its own diplomas while being recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). From 2002 to 2005 it was affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University. In 2005 it became a university through the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology University Act, 2005.It was renamed "CEPT University" through CEPT University Act, 2010.

CEPT Entrance Exam’s pattern is held in offline mode. It is different for different courses. The types of questions asked in CEPT entrance exam are mixed, including both MCQ and subjective questions. There is no negative marking in the test.
- Candidates need to carry their ball point pen and pencil with themselves in the exam hall.
- The duration of exam ranges from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on the course.
CEPT Entrance Exam (Centre for Environment Planning and Technology Entrance Exam) is conducted by CEPT University. It is held for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the field of Design, Construction and Technology etc. The university conducts a series of exams for various courses generally in the month of July.
How to Fill CEPT Entrance Exam Application Form
CEPT Entrance Exam Application Form will be available only in online mode. It is advisable for applicant to go through eligibility criteria prescribed for concerned course. The online application form can be filled by performing the following steps:
- Visit the official website of CEPT.
- Go to admission and click on “Apply” button
- Registration form will open on screen
- First Complete Registration Formalities by entering details such as Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Contact Number and email ID.
- Registration ID will be generated and a login details will be sent to registered email address
- Login to the application portal with login credentials i.e. User ID and Password.
- Fill Application Form for CEPT Entrance Exam 2019.
- Once done, submit the application form and make online payment
- The payment of INR 500 must be remitted via Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking.
- Get Payment Receipt after successful payment.
